The focus for the ISG this month has been on preparing our response to Ofgem’s Call for Evidence on NGN’s RIIO-3 Business Plan The plan was submitted to the regulator on 10 December and since then our group has been drafting a report which provides our view on how well the plan meets the expectations and needs of people in our region..
We will submit our response by 10 February and at the time of writing this blog it was in the final stages of preparation and will be signed off at our next full meeting on 3 February .
Whist the response is aimed at Ofgem as the primary audience, we hope that other stakeholders will read it.
We hope to be as transparent as possible in all of our work whilst of course working within the boundaries of commercial confidentiality.
I shall be giving a flavour of our response at NGN’s stakeholder webinar on 29 January, and I look forward to hearing what other stakeholders have to say about the plan at that event.
Engagement between NGN and the ISG has been constructive since we were established in 2018 and we have had access to the detailed proposals that make up the plan for the period running 2026-2031.
This means it has been difficult to condense all of our comments but we have tried to show how we, and other stakeholders views have influenced the business plan and whether the level of service and costs reflect the priorities and preferences of customers.
