CEG blog August 2021

The CEG met virtually on 2 August.

We received an update from the Chief Executive Officer, Mark Horsley, on the business and how things were progressing in a number of areas, including an update on the Competitions and Markets Authority process and the recent Ministerial launch of the Hydrogen house at Low Thornley. It was also reported that Hydeploy, also located at Low Thornley, would soon go live, injecting 20% hydrogen into the village of Winlaton of c 670 homes.

The Group then discussed an update on maximising Vulnerability and Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA) to those most in need, followed by a brief discussion on environmental issues.

Following on from the general discussion on hydrogen with Mark Horsley, we had a more detailed conversation on future networks: InTEGRel Customer Energy Village.

We turned then to the Company’s digitalisation plan, specifically on Open Data.

We concluded with a stakeholder update, covering a number of stakeholder sessions recently held across a number of areas including Social/Customer, the Environment and Future Networks.

As a CEG, we have established a number of sub-groups comprising our membership, to enable us to give added focus to areas related to Social, Environment, Future Networks and Workforce Resilience.
