CEG Blog June 2022

We met face to face on 6 June and had a full discussion on a range of issues, including the finalisation of our own report for 2021/22.  Independent Non-Executive Board Member Paul Rogerson joined us for the day.

NGN CEO Mark Horsley joined us virtually for our first discussion item – an update on the business.

We then spent some time discussing the proposals for NGN’s Hydrogen Village Customer Journey, should the company’s bid for a trial be successful. We raised a number of issues which we hope would be helpful for the customer experience.

We then received an update on the projects being delivered as part of the NIA Vulnerability mechanism, including how usable technology can help detect CO.

On the important issue of stakeholder engagement, the Group was given a presentation on the Stakeholder Plan for 2022/23, and also received insights from recent stakeholder sessions including Customer Portal Testing, Young Innovators Council and NPG working better together workshop.

Following our discussions on our own annual report, we had a general discussion around business performance.  We concluded our meeting with an in camera session reflecting on how the discussions had gone and what we would like to see on the agenda going forward.
