When the CEG met in October 2020

The CEG met virtually on 12 October and, among other things, covered a number of areas of important preparation for RIIO-2.

We began with a regular update on Stakeholder Engagement, and then moved on to an update from the Company CEO, Mark Horsley, who covered a number of big issues facing the Company, including its on-going response to Covid19.

We spent some time discussing progress being made on the Company’s Workstream 2 on Enhanced Social Commitments, and on Workstream 4 which covers Bespoke Environmental Outputs. We concluded the Company discussions with a presentation and a Q&A on Workstream 5: New Innovation Landscape.

We then spent time without the Company to reflect on the meeting, as we do at the end of each session, and to discuss among ourselves the issues we had raised and how we wanted to progress these.

Our next meeting is in December, by which time Ofgem’s Final Determination will be imminent.  In the meantime, Group members continue to engage with the Company in a number of ways, Including observing the Citizen’s Assembly, conducted virtually on 17 October.
